Empowering, Enriching and Enhancing Youth in Northwest Detroit

Summer Camps

Our virtual summer camp centers around peacemaking and conflict resolution for youth ages 4-13. Campers are engaged in the martial art of aikido, exercise, story time, reading, hip hop dance, nutrition education, cooking lessons, science, art, and interactive games for 4 weeks in July.

Little Free Libraries

6 Sites sites in the O’Hair Park neighborhood promote easy access to reading materials for children of all ages. The summer reading series brings youth together for story time in O’Hair Park with guest readers.

The NWDYC PAL soccer league offers youth a break from technology through physical exercise bonding with one another, their coaches, and parents. Skill building clinics are also incorporated in to summer camps.
